Q. Do all programs have to be six (6) weeks in duration?
A. No, LTPA will build the programs to best suit the needs of the school/community.
Q. Can a student sign up for both offered programs?
A. Yes, LTPA programs are offered on different days allowing students to sign up for both.
Q. When do the programs run?
A. LTPA programs generally run 3 times during the school year. Fall, winter and spring. The programs are once a week for six (6) weeks at lunch and / or after school for one hour.
Q. Will the same programs be offered through out the school year?
A. No, LTPA has so many different programs to offer and the students benefit from a variety of them through out the school year.
Q. What happens if a program lands on a school holiday/P.A. day, is the lesson lost?
A. No, LTPA simply continues each week until the program is complete.
Q. Can students still sign up once the program has started?
A. Yes, the student(s) may still sign up for the remaining lessons at any time during the program.
Q. Who supplies the materials for the programs?
A. LTPA provides all necessary materials related to each program.
Q. When are the registration forms due back at the schools office?
A. LTPA asked for the forms back to the schools office no later then one week after receiving them.
Q. Who is hired to perform the program(s)?
A. LTPA's staff has had experiences in the field of child care. They are generally university students going through with the faculty of education/ ECE (Early childhood education) and are all police and reference checked.
Q. Where are the programs held?
A. The Programs are held at your child's school, during lunch hour or at the end of the school day for one hour eg. (3:30 to 4:30)
Q. When do the children eat their lunch, if signed up for a program?
A. The children eat their lunch with the instructor which at that time attendance is taken and the lesson for that day is described.
Q. How do you (the parents) know when the session is going to start, and what day it is held on?
A. All registered participants receive a phone call the weekend prior to the start of each program to confirm the day and location in the school. As well the school has all class lists.
Q. What if my child cannot play on a specific day of the week.
A. On the registration form please indicate conflicting day, so that way LTPA can best suit your needs.
Q. Are all programs offered to both boys and girls?
A. Yes, the programs are designed both for boys and girls. We work on creativity, individuality, leadership skills, and fair play.
Q. In the craft programs, are the students able to keep what they make?
A. Everything that the students create is theirs to keep.
